The Nursery Den

This is the den where pups are born and raised until they are yearlings. It is located next to the healing den at the edge of the pine forest. This is also the pupsitters' den.

Sunset slipped into a den near the healers den. Sniffing the air she followed the tunnel until it opened into a wide open cave. Her tail wagged as she decided that it would be perfect for have pups and raising them. She started to clear out all the old things that had gathered in it.

Star trotted up to the den beside Sunset. She grinned and began digging out the waste that had gathered. She also crawled into the den and inspected the inside of it closely.

Sun noticed Starlight join her in clearing out the den and she smiled. It was nice to have someone to work with.

Starnight smiled, stepping back from the den to view it. "The den looks good." She said.

"Yes it does." the orange and red fae said pushing the last of the watse out. Sunset shook her fur free of dust.

Starry grinned. "Let's get back to our dens before the blizzard starts." She suggested. "Neither of us are going to have our pups yet." She began to trot to the Alpha Den.

Sun watched as Star walked off. She padded quickly to the healers den.

Star guided Sunset to the den. She looked at the orange and red fae. "Look, I'm not a healer." She said. "Are there any herbs that can help you? I'll go get them for you."

Sunset nodded and lay down. "Borge, water lilies and snow rose seeds." she said panting, "I have some in the healers den. Back wall on the shelf." Her black paws twitched as she closed her amber eyes trying to forget the pain.

Es trotting out of the woods, stood a few spaces from the two faes. She scanned the woods for any danger, and sniffed the air for any unknown scent. She kept her eyes alert for any intruders that may harm the pregnant femmes.

Star nodded at Sunset. "Esther, keep watch over Sun. I'll be right back." She ordered. Borge, water lilies, snow rose seeds...back wall, shelf... She repeated the words in her head as she trotted away.

Es glanced at the Alphess, the tone she used to her, the she wolf knew it was a serious command. Esther nodded and strolled to the front entrance of the den and kept guard.

Sunset opened her amber eyes briefly. "We havent meet yet." she said before letting out a soft yelp, "Im Sunset one of the packs healers." Her eyes closed again as she whimpered softly.

Starnight returned to the den and placed down the herbs beside the soon-to-be mother. She knew that she too would give birth to her own pups soon after Sunset, based on her bulging belly. The dappled fae nudged Sun, trying to comfort the healer.

Esther ears flicked to the voice of the pained female. "Im Sunset one of the packs healers." Esther bright blue eyes glanced at the fae and the she wolf quietly said," I'm Esther the Frostbiter." She sniffed at the direction where the she wolf was at, then she glanced away from the fae and looked back at the opening.

Sunset sniffed the air as Starnight came back into the den. She could smell the herbs and opened her eyes as she was nudged. "You found them ok?" she asked. Reaching forward she started to eat the borge to increase her milk. She gasped as she felt anoth contraction run through her. She lapped up the rose seeds and felt the pain dull slightly. She left the water lilies cause she now knew that she was going to give birth.

Night sat back. She knew there was nothing else she could do. It was up to Sunset now. She watched in quiet suspense; pups were meant to be born during the spring, not in an eternal winter.

Sunset let out a painfilled howl as the most painfull contraction yet ran through her. "Where Luke?" she asked whimpering looking at Night. She knew that it was time for the pups to be born but she wanted her mate with her. Her jaws clenched tight as the contractions ran quickly through her body.

Lucifer followed the three females to the Den, he stayed outside to give Sunset some space. He watched as Starnight trotted out of the den and into the forest," She must be getting supplies" he thought. He glanced at the blondish female," Wouldn't want to get in her bad side." When the Alpha Female returned he stayed outside of the den, his ears perked up when he heard his name. He slowly trotted in the den, nodding to the guard(Esther) who was sitting outside, then he bowed low to the Alphess, he sniffed Sunset's face and licked her cheeks. He laid down beside her and said," I'm here."

Es noticed a colorless brute, she eyed him suspiciously, her hackles were slightly raised but flatten when he made no threatening moves. Es was guessing that this brute was Luke the pregnant she wolfs mate. She stepped aside of the entrance to give the male room to walk to his mate, she returned his nod and looked towards the woods once again.

Trace stepped lightly through the blanket of snow, which he trailed through while coming towards the den. He perked his lobes and eyed the chestnut female ahead and he stayed in his position, watching. He wasn't sure if to go greet, knowingly the others were near by he didn't want to intrude on them.
