First topic message reminder :

Welcome to a place where every day of your life is a fight for survival. The humans don't want you here. They see you as a pest and will go to lengths to hurt you or send you to animal control. The chaotic city is crawling with cars that will easily claim the life of a careless dog. Humans are cruel, and if you can't be adopted in the shelter, you will likely be euthanized. Food is difficult to come by. But every living thing has a will to live. No matter how hard life gets, you must go on, and wander the streets aimlessly search of the great unknown. Strays of all shapes and sizes live here in the city, but they all have one thing in common--man's best friend has been forgotten.

A disease has swept across the Earth. It is destroying the human race. Some beggars can get food from immune people or dying humans who have not forgotten about man's best friend. As the food supply in the city dwindles along with the human population, will you be able to survive? Or will you be forgotten to the living?

"Forgotten" is a highly realistic apocalyptic stray dog rp (meaning realistic dog behavior and that humans are dying out) Talking is allowed, but dog body language and behavior is encouraged. I already have a stray dog roleplay on another pack, but this one is slightly more intense and is semi-literate.

Ranks

Alpha/Alphess Dog: This is the most intelligent, in some cases largest, and swiftest dog in the pack. Every dog may attack the alpha to gain his or her place, but a strong leader will maintain his or her position.

Shiloh(f)(roleplayed by Starnight)

Beta Dog: This is the second-in-command, many dogs strive to be the beta if they can't be the alpha.

Sasha(f)(roleplayed by TigerLily)

Fighting Dogs: These dogs are the toughest of the tough (besides the alpha and beta, of course). They guard the territory againist other dogs, packs, other animals, even humans. They have strong jaws, a clever mind, and a powerful build.

Sandy(f)(roleplayed by Sunset)

Stealers: These are the most daring dogs in the pack. They use smarts and intimidation to steal food from humans, risking their lives.

Titan(m)(roleplayed by Trace)

Burrowers: These dogs burrow in the ground to find food.

Sewer Dogs: These dogs aren't afraid to get down and dirty. They search the sewers for food.

Beggars: These "cute" dogs beg humans for food.

Hunters: Hunters/Huntresses are few and far between when there's so much food in the city. They hunt small animals such as rabbits and squirrels.

Yearlings: These dogs are a year old. They should be training for or at least thinking about their future rank.

Shiloh stirred once, smiling as the red husky yearling curled around her. As she closed her eyes to fall asleep again, she realized it didn't matter who was boss. You just needed a pack to provide comfort, companionship, and safety in numbers. Her days of roaming the streets as a loner were over now. The beagle continued to sleep.

Sandy followed them. She stopped away from them and sat down. The golden boxer female decided to keep watch for a while before going to sleep.

Felix wagged his tail when a bone was next to him, he carried it in his mouth and followed the dogs to a resting place. He glanced at his brother who was sleeping next to the beagle. He shrugged and looked behind him for Coconut, then he looked back to the beagle and his brother. He padded over to them and laid next to Kent and Shiloh, he placed the bone in front of him and started chewing the bone.

Shiloh grunted in greeting to Felix. She was half asleep. There was a chill in the night air, but with the pack around her, she was cozy. The female beagle soon drifted to full sleep. Her paws twitched as she dreamed.

Dawn looked up from her bone and saw the others starting to leave. She wagged her tail and picked up her bone before padding after them. She slowed to a stop as they came to a abandon house. She walked in and saw Ken. Felix and Sasha where already settled in. Dawn sighs and finds a warm corner and laid down, continuing to chew on her bone.

Titan trotted through the night lit zone. The atmosphere around him was cool and hunger gnawed at his side for a brief moment. "Food.." that was the answer to satisfy the least of him. The usual sounds surrounded him and he verified the location of the scents clearly and followed with his nostrils flaring and his paws lightly touching the concrete walkway. Striding through the streets, the mechanical objects zoomed passed him quickly, he could feel the rush of wind through his fur and pass his frame. The muscular male took his positive intentions and trailed off storming by the local markets, eyeing the neon colored lights and crept through the alleyways. where he was amongst where humans would toss their leftovers. Sniffing around, he stood on his hind paws and dug through the foul smell, which never seemed to bother his senses, yet.

Shiloh thought she could catch the scent of another dog outside. But the scent was faint enough that she let it go. Shi continued to sleep soundly.

The male dog was eager enough to find himself a slab of meat still attached to a bone. He picked up the bone in his jowls and glanced around with a strand of drool dripping down his lower jaw, already it was tasty, still decent to consume. While he peered around for any unusual sounds or scents, something caught his attention and his brown orbs glared in the direction. More scents lurked and he directed his attention, therefore followed the scents, perhaps this could bring him to other strays. After a moment he walked he paused and laid down on the concrete passageway, having the bone placed at his paws he began to gnaw, chewing at the decaying meat, polishing the bone clean in a moment. Chomping down with short swallows he sat up and continued to pace through the cities core, investigating these scents with testy gestures.

A snarl erupted from the stray dog den. Awoken by the sounds of another dog, Shiloh burst out of the abandoned shack. Shiloh approached the Rottweiler (Titan), with bared canines, and with her tail sticking straight in the air in a dominant gesture. Her ears perked foward. The female beagle made it clear that she was ready for a fight, but not looking for a fight. Shi made eye contact with the male dog and waited for him to speak.

Hearing scampering paws approach his presence, the male snapped his head around and lowered his physique. His head lowered below his haunches, he let out sharp barks in return with low and high growls erupting in his chest. "So I was correct there are stray dogs roaming through these zones" he raised his head and snapped at the air, defiantly having his paws planted on the ground with his back arched prepared to fight when the move is made. "Do you seek a challenge? Because if so I'll tear your hide, so I recommend you watch it", the male seeked further for more dogs to appear.

A low growl rose in Shiloh's chest at the stranger's words. She marched up to the brute, thrusting her muzzle in his face defiantly. "I do not seek a challenge..." She growled. "But I am more than ready to accept one. Also, it's you who has to watch his tail." The hound looked over her shoulder for her companions. "We have strength in numbers."

He lifted his cranium away from the females gestured snout and grunted, " Many strays combined. I see.." he continued to growl while he turned his head to the side, at thought. He was alone, always alone, perhaps now he could be involved with this 'pack' he encountered."Aye.." he spoken while turning his head and pushing his short snout up towards the females flank, smelling no human scents lingering on her, then he paced around her for measly moment then paused in front. His eyes showed no emotion and he continued once more to evaluate their status, "Were you ever once known to man? Loyal, dependant and always on guard. Until they threw you out on the streets, you'll beg to return but they don't accept you, but rejected by what you thought was a friend?" He turned slowly to face the outskirts of the streets, dark swirls of clouds drifting over and above them and afar, he struggle to reveal more words, only anger erupted inside of him.

Empathy melted into Shiloh's warm chocolate brown pools. She took a step closer to the rottweiler and spoke. "Yes. A human once caressed me with kind words and care. He raised me as a puppy until he dumped me onto the streets, left me for dead. I learned that humans are unpredictable. I was forgotten, like all the strays that roam these parts." She was glad to finally have someone to relate to. The beagle tilted her head to the side as she scanned the newcomer. "We found an abandoned place to stay for the night. Would you like to join us?"

Dawn fell asleep after awhile, only to be woken up by growls. She looked around tiredly and saw that Shiloh was missing. The yearling got up and sniffed the air. The young border collie caught two scents, one of which was Shiloh's. She followed her friends scent and stopped once she saw her and another stray dog. The yearling growled at the stray, ready for a fight as she watched them.

Felix looked up from his bone, he saw Shiloh and Dawn rush out from the dog den. He tilted his head in confusion, he glanced at his brother who was still sleeping. He grunted and got up from the ground. He slowly trotted out and followed the young border collie, when they reached to a pit stop, he came out from behind Dawn and gazed at what she was looking. He noticed Sasha and an unknown dog, he let out a low whimper, the little husky knew this wasn't good at all.

Dawn turned around as she heard a whimper and saw Felix. She tilted her head then went back to watch Shiloh and the other stray. The young border collie wondered if the others were going to come too.

Kent continued to sleep soundly, he felt tension in the air and woke up. He looked around with sleepy eyes, he rubbed them to adjust some clearness into them. Then he looked around again, and murmured," Where's everyone?" He pushed himself off the ground and sniffed the ground, the last strong scent was his brother so he followed the scent. When the scent got stronger he quicken his pace until he accidentally hit his brother's behind. " Oh I found them" he thought to himself. His brother was whimpering at something so he stood next to Dawn and whispered quietly to her and said," What's going on?" He followed her gaze and saw Shiloh and the rottweiler," Oh" he muttered quietly.

Shiloh gained confidence as her friends came out of the den to support her. She nudged Felix as if to comfort him. The female beagle turned her attention back to the newcomer, waiting for his response.

Dawn turned around again as she saw Kendrick and he asked what is going on. She looks back at the rottweiler and growled again, having no idea what else to do besides that.

Sandy woke suddenly at the sound of growls and looked out to see a rotwheeler. She rose to her paws softly growling as she stalked forward.

Sasha put a paw in front of Shiloh. "State your name and business please."she said politely. "And don't try and taunt other dogs."she said with a piercing cold glare.

Shiloh felt a growl rise in her throat as Sasha took over but managed to stifle it. She stepped back, but her pride was slightly hurt. She stuck her tail straight up in the air and huffed in annoyance.

The male glared at the beagle and tilted his head, he hasn't encountered another dog whom has had the same experience that way, besides the fact that his type were used as fighting dogs, nonetheless guard dogs."I'll have to adjust to th-" he paused his speech while he heard growls abruptly appearing from behind the beagles figure. Titan lowered his head, his growls came in presence again and towards the other strays who finally came to reveal themselves.His dark chocolate orbs narrowed at the few strays that emerged from their slumber, he could tell they were asleep by their gestured walk. As another dog appeared and spoken a smirk was expressed and he stepped forth having his head held and tilted forward showing no weakness, "The name's Titan" the rottweiler spoken deeply yet clearly allowing his vocals to echo."Tension is rising in the air" the dog spoke while circling the two then pacing to one side slowly then the other while gesturing his movements. "This unknown dog appears and what happens then? You feel confronted and want to know more about this so called 'intruder'" he muffled his last words while he kept his body stiff and eyes gazed on the dogs, awaiting for what they'll remark.
