~Forgotten... A stray dog roleplay

Welcome to a place where every day of your life is a fight for survival. The humans don't want you here. They see you as a pest and will go to lengths to hurt you or send you to animal control. The chaotic city is crawling with cars that will easily claim the life of a careless dog. Humans are cruel, and if you can't be adopted in the shelter, you will likely be euthanized. Food is difficult to come by. But every living thing has a will to live. No matter how hard life gets, you must go on, and wander the streets aimlessly search of the great unknown. Strays of all shapes and sizes live here in the city, but they all have one thing in common--man's best friend has been forgotten.

A disease has swept across the Earth. It is destroying the human race. Some beggars can get food from immune people or dying humans who have not forgotten about man's best friend. As the food supply in the city dwindles along with the human population, will you be able to survive? Or will you be forgotten to the living?

"Forgotten" is a highly realistic apocalyptic stray dog rp (meaning realistic dog behavior and that humans are dying out) Talking is allowed, but dog body language and behavior is encouraged. I already have a stray dog roleplay on another pack, but this one is slightly more intense and is semi-literate.

Ranks

Alpha/Alphess Dog: This is the most intelligent, in some cases largest, and swiftest dog in the pack. Every dog may attack the alpha to gain his or her place, but a strong leader will maintain his or her position.

Beta Dog: This is the second-in-command, many dogs strive to be the beta if they can't be the alpha.

Fighting Dogs: These dogs are the toughest of the tough (besides the alpha and beta, of course). They guard the territory againist other dogs, packs, other animals, even humans. They have strong jaws, a clever mind, and a powerful build.

Stealers: These are the most daring dogs in the pack. They use smarts and intimidation to steal food from humans, risking their lives.

Titan(m)(roleplayed by Trace)


Burrowers: These dogs burrow in the ground to find food.



Sewer Dogs: These dogs aren't afraid to get down and dirty. They search the sewers for food.



Beggars: These "cute" dogs beg humans for food.



Hunters: Hunters/Huntresses are few and far between when there's so much food in the city. They hunt small animals such as rabbits and squirrels.



Yearlings: These dogs are a year old. They should be training for or at least thinking about their future rank.

Puppies: The pups of the pack.



Omegas: These dogs just don't fit in. They're mistreated by the pack.



Loners: These dogs live alone, roaming the streets. Stray dogs rarely form stable packs.

Kendrick noticed that their wasn't gonna be a fight he sighed and padded closer to the adults. He overheard their conversation about who is gonna be the pack leader he felt pressured and glanced behind him for Dawn and Felix. He looked at the adults, and then at his pads," I do-don't know who to choose" he quietly said.

Dawn watched Kendrick walk closer to the adults. She, herself really had no idea who to pick. She frowned in worry as she thought.

"I don't think so."Sasha said. "They should take as much time as they need and say who when their ready."she smiled.

Dawn lowered her ears, she never really had to pick between dogs before. "Umm..." The young border collie said frowning. Who should be leader? She asked herself.

Kendrick glanced to the female beagle and smiled. "Just follow your heart and choose honestly." He heard her say.. He closed his eyes and began to think. The words the beagle said to him gave him confidence on his decision. Opening his blue eyes back up he cleared his throat and straighten his puppy figure," I choose Shiloh!" he barked confidently. He looked at the border collie and smiled," Follow your heart Dawn!" he yipped kindly to the yearling. "Normally how I was raised, the dominant leader would be chosen after a challenge""Though how does everyone feel about that?" Ken heard a deep voice say. He peered at the rottweiler male, tilting his head he said," Is there gonna be a fight?"

Dawn heard Kendrick's choice, and closed her eyes as Shiloh and Ken said to follow her heart. Follow my heart... The young border collie thought. Just follow my heart... She thought for a couple of seconds then opened her eyes. "i choose," She said, "Shiloh!" The yearling smiled but then lowered her ears at what the rottweiler said. She perked her ears at what Shiloh said. Dawn then said, "Yeah! Fighting isn't the only answer to everything!" From personal experiences... She thought.

Sandy listened as the dogs spoke. When the was talk off a fight her ears pricked. When they said that no fight would happen she sighed and walked off after Titan.

Sasha smiled and frowned when Titan suggested fighting. "No fighting should be done."she said. Sasha smiled at Ken and Dawn. Coconut and Felix were the only ones left. "Should we call it a day first or wait for Felix and Coconut to vote?"she asked.

(Lol. Can someone get them? XD)

Felix stood frozen in the corner, he silent watch his brother and Dawn pad over to the adults. When the tension seemed to calmed down a bit he let out a long relieved sigh," Good no fight." He cautiously scampered over to the group and saw the rottweiler and Sandy walking off, he tilted his head to the group and said," What's going on?" He sat his lower hind beside Kendrick and glanced at everyone's face.

Dawn perked her ears as she heard Felix's voice. ″Yeah, me and Kendrick voted on Shiloh. Who are you going to vote for?″ The young border collie asked.

"Yup. Take as much time as you need. Shiloh has two votes. And I have one."she said cheerfully. She looked to the clouds and back to the yearling.

Felix eyes grew wide," VOTING!" he thought in his head, the pup was slowly beginning to panic. He liked both of the female dogs and supported them no matter what, but VOTING between one of them. He whimpered softly and looked at his paws," uh..um..urm.." he mumbled. Looking at each of the dogs face he swallowed hard and said," I..I choose Sasha..." He whined lowly and quickly covered his face with his paws, he didn't want Shiloh to hate him for picking Sasha and hoped his brother wasn't angry with him for choosing the opposite opponent he chose.

Shiloh almost laughed as she watched the young husky cower. "It's okay, Felix. Everyone respects your choice." But when her brown gaze switched to Sasha, her eyes said it all: Now what? The vote was now a tie.

(I suppose, but I'd rather not post just yet, waiting for Le Boxer;Sandy to post. well the vote, at least)

He grumbled not yet hearing the response from the female boxer and sat down on his rear and eyed the perimeter. It was a breezy night, a gust of wind swooped by, catching him to pause his head, blinking his eyes from the less drifted breeze which seem to catch his attention. Though the humans around him weren't as amusing, yet.

Sandy sighed at the rottweilers question. "Always." she growled softly. She turned her brown eyes to look at Titan and smiled. "Wanna have a go?" she asked getting into an attack position. The golden boxer female steeled her weight so she couldnt be buged easily as she waited for his reply.
